Lauren B. Peña is a Republican candidate for the United States House of Representatives in Texas Congressional District 37, running in the May 26, 2026 run-off election.
A lifelong Texan and Austin native, Lauren is a human trafficking survivor, mother of six, and constitutional conservative who has witnessed firsthand how left-wing governance destroys communities. Her campaign slogan — "Street to the Hill" — reflects her journey from public housing and trafficking survival to running for the United States Congress.
Lauren has proposed two pieces of federal legislation: the SAFE NIGHTS Act, which targets human trafficking in nightlife and hospitality venues, and the SODA Act, which eliminates congressional immunity for sexual misconduct. Both bills are drawn directly from her personal experience as a survivor.
She is running on a platform of border security, lower energy costs, parental rights, medical freedom, veterans' support, and government accountability — including demanding the release of the Epstein files and exposing Congressional sexual misconduct.
